Called to Serve in the Facebook Mission

April 20, 2020 "If God wanted you to gather all of His children, do you really think He would make you knock all their doors?" The first 6 months of my mission were full of street finding, train contacting, and door knocking! As of March 17, that changed. President Teuscher said that he heard social distancing might be practiced in NYC until 2022! I don't know if that's true, it's just the word on the street. Which means, visiting people in their homes will not be as common for pretty much the rest of my mission. 20,000 missionaries around the world have returned home, and I am one of the few people who get to pioneer the concept of online proselyting to start up this new era of finding. It makes sense that we would need to use technology in order to invite ALL to come unto Christ. We have been told that the New York City mission is kind of a role model when it comes to online missionary work, and apparently, the missionary department has sent links to some of...

Milagros!

April 13, 2020 Hello everyone! There is not too much to report for this week.  Still stuck in the house just calling people all day. It's getting a little old but I know this is all temporary so I am just trying to enjoy all the benefits while I can! We bought like 20 traps to catch all the rats, and prayed that we could get rid of them. All were baited with girl scout cookies and peanut butter. We saw some CRAZY miracles this week! Like, someone we are teaching, Anibal, invited his cousin to join our video call! His faith is so strong already that he wants to do missionary work! Anibal shared a POWERFUL testimony of the Book of Mormon to his cousin, it was awesome! We also got a video call from someone that we have never even heard of before. We were very confused, but answered the cal...

RATS and GENERAL CONFERENCE

April 6, 2020 Hello everyone! As usual, my week was full of crazy miracles and I am astonished every day by the obvious hand of God in my life as I serve Him every day. This weekend was especially eventful when it comes to miracles, and I want to talk about all of them! I don't know how to make it into a cohesive and comprehensive email, so I will just list in chronological order my favorite things from the weekend. Please read until the end because it got crazy! 1- On our  Saturday morning  walk for fresh air, we saw a homeless guy sleeping on the ground in front of our apartment building. We walked past him and I felt really bad, but I just continued on with my day and didn't think much of it, because that is a pretty normal thing. When we got back home, Elder Goodman went to the closet and grabbed an extra pillow and blanket that I did not even know we had. He said he wanted to give it to the homeless man. I then compiled a plate of cookies, and we left it next to the ...
