the one where I got on zoom with a millionaire

 February 8, 2021

Hello!!!!!!! I hope you all have had a great week! I don't have a lot of time so I'm going to try to make this email super simple and just talk about a few highlights!

- it snowed mega

- Our friend that owns an empanada restaurant accepted The Book of Mormon and we have plans to go film him cook at his restaurant while sharing scriptures. Stay tuned for the videos on our Manhattan Spanish Facebook page.

- I went with Elder Potter to Queens to go to MLC this week and it was super fun! Nothing too notable happened that day other than Elder Potter is an absolute clown and he was trying to get me to laugh when I shouldn't have been laughing haha.

- We had Stake Correlation yesterday, which is where the mission president, stake president, and missionary leaders get together and talk about a bunch of boring stuff. The Stake President in Manhattan is for real like a millionaire and he is so powerful (as most people in Manhattan are), so I was very nervous when I was asked to lead the discussion for the meeting. It all turned out well though and we made some good plans to get the stake more involved in missionary work!

- I love Elder Wooley so much

- This next week will be my last week in Harlem :( Cast your votes to see where President boots me to next transfer

- Today for P-day, the elders in my district walked down 5th Avenue, bought some fancy over-priced chocolate, went to the lego store, NBC Studios, and Grand Central Station. Then we finished the day off with some Chopped Cheese (if you don't know what that is, look it up, you're missing out big time. It's a delicacy here.)

- Pray for Verenice, Noemy, Dolores, and Angel. All of them are slowly but surely progressing but they need some spiritual experiences to really get things rolling!

Love you all! Have a phenomenal week!

Elder Webster

August 9, 2021 Hello everyone! I hope you all had a great week! I'm writing this email having spent 110% of my energy this week on the work of the Lord. I almost have no energy left other than the promise in Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me". I'm going into my 6th month with little sleep and an enormous workload, and It's catching up to me now, but I'll be okay. I seriously feel like the only thing keeping me going is Jesus Christ, which is an incredible feeling having given everything to the Lord. I wouldn't trade it for the world. I'm definitely not complaining, but I'm insanely grateful for the opportunity to serve. There is nothing more fulfilling than this work, and even though I feel like I've given everything I have, I still wish I could give more. We picked up 31 new missionaries from the airport this week! Having to organize the logistics for their travel, hotel, and meals was pretty chaotic,...

Goodbye New York City

September 13, 2021 It pains me to say that this was my last week as a missionary. We had a general authority (Elder Bassett) visit the mission all week, and Elder Call and I were in charge of the technology. I could probably write a whole email about all the miracles, struggles, and work that went into that. Maybe that's a story for another day. We picked up my replacement, Elder Wolfgramm, and have been training him on some things before I go. It has been an absolute blast being in a trio with them. I reflected a lot this week on the past 2 years and the things I have learned. I want to make a brief summary of my mission and say what I learned from each of my areas and companions! It will probably be boring for you, but it's mostly just for me to write down some thoughts to look back on one day haha. Mexico MTC - Elder Martin I learned spanish, kinda. Elder Martin has also taught me a lot about friendship and loyalty. He is SUCH a good friend. I am still learning from him ev...

EMERGENCY *MUST READ*

November 9, 2020 What's up!!!! I'm not sure if you all heard, but the elections were this week. We don't watch the news or anything so I received the update when the ENTIRE city went out onto the streets with cowbells, trumpets, frying pans, and other noisemakers to celebrate. It was crazy. New York is very very very blue. That's all I will say. I emailed President Teuscher about my concerns with my companion's obedience, and he said "I will see what I can do". Well he actually did a LOT to help! He made a whole PowerPoint presentation on obedience and shared it in a mission-wide devotional. We also had a mission leadership meeting in Queens this week and had a big discussion about how to help the 27 new incoming missionaries be obedient... the answer: WE ARE OBEDIENT OURSELVES. We made plans to do a 40 day fast as a mission from EVERYTHING we may cut corners on when it comes to rules. Anyway, I feel like my emails to President sparked a big mission-wide f...
