The Great Wall of White Plains

March 22, 2021

¿CÓMO ESTÁN TODOS? ITS ELDER WEBSTER BACK AT IT AGAIN WITH ANOTHER EMAIL! I don't have lots of time today, so I will try to be quick!

I had my AP exchange with Elder Walters. It was fire.

I had my interview with President Teuscher. That was also fire.

Elder Weller is finding like 8 new people to teach every week just from English class, so I requested an exchange with him to learn how he does it! I learned A LOT and our next couple days are already packed full of 1st lessons with people!

I went on another exchange with Elder Martin (wow I go on so many exchanges). That was also fire. We invited 4 people to be baptized (Brayan, Doris, Milly, and Iker), and all of them said YES, but none of them felt ready to commit to a date yet, because they feel like they still need to learn more first. That is okay, at least we know that they are willing, and they know our intentions! Please pray for them to feel ready soon!

The CUTEST little girl that I used to teach in Harlem got baptized yesterday! Her name is Jeynaliz, and I got to watch her baptism over zoom and talk with her! I remember bringing brownies to her and making friendship bracelets together haha. She is just the best and I am really happy she got baptized!

I was driving and TIWI told me to "check my speed", so I slowed down, and saw that President Teuscher was driving his tesla right behind me haha. It's so weird being neighbors with the legend himself. He waved at us and I hope he didn't notice I was going a tad over the speed limit.

For p-day today we played spike ball at a sweet dam! We called it The Great Wall of White Plains. Many dam jokes were made. 'Twas fun.

I've been studying the book Jesus The Christ this transfer, and there was a quote I really liked about prayer. It said, "God without our prayers is still God. But we without our prayers are strangers in the family of God." Que interesante, ¿no?

Anyway, thats about it. Hope you all have a great week! LOVE YOU ALL

August 9, 2021 Hello everyone! I hope you all had a great week! I'm writing this email having spent 110% of my energy this week on the work of the Lord. I almost have no energy left other than the promise in Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me". I'm going into my 6th month with little sleep and an enormous workload, and It's catching up to me now, but I'll be okay. I seriously feel like the only thing keeping me going is Jesus Christ, which is an incredible feeling having given everything to the Lord. I wouldn't trade it for the world. I'm definitely not complaining, but I'm insanely grateful for the opportunity to serve. There is nothing more fulfilling than this work, and even though I feel like I've given everything I have, I still wish I could give more. We picked up 31 new missionaries from the airport this week! Having to organize the logistics for their travel, hotel, and meals was pretty chaotic,...

Goodbye New York City

September 13, 2021 It pains me to say that this was my last week as a missionary. We had a general authority (Elder Bassett) visit the mission all week, and Elder Call and I were in charge of the technology. I could probably write a whole email about all the miracles, struggles, and work that went into that. Maybe that's a story for another day. We picked up my replacement, Elder Wolfgramm, and have been training him on some things before I go. It has been an absolute blast being in a trio with them. I reflected a lot this week on the past 2 years and the things I have learned. I want to make a brief summary of my mission and say what I learned from each of my areas and companions! It will probably be boring for you, but it's mostly just for me to write down some thoughts to look back on one day haha. Mexico MTC - Elder Martin I learned spanish, kinda. Elder Martin has also taught me a lot about friendship and loyalty. He is SUCH a good friend. I am still learning from him ev...

EMERGENCY *MUST READ*

November 9, 2020 What's up!!!! I'm not sure if you all heard, but the elections were this week. We don't watch the news or anything so I received the update when the ENTIRE city went out onto the streets with cowbells, trumpets, frying pans, and other noisemakers to celebrate. It was crazy. New York is very very very blue. That's all I will say. I emailed President Teuscher about my concerns with my companion's obedience, and he said "I will see what I can do". Well he actually did a LOT to help! He made a whole PowerPoint presentation on obedience and shared it in a mission-wide devotional. We also had a mission leadership meeting in Queens this week and had a big discussion about how to help the 27 new incoming missionaries be obedient... the answer: WE ARE OBEDIENT OURSELVES. We made plans to do a 40 day fast as a mission from EVERYTHING we may cut corners on when it comes to rules. Anyway, I feel like my emails to President sparked a big mission-wide f...
